VR Moorabool - 1894+
In 1853 the Victorian Government started construction on the Victorian Railway's, in 1859 the line from Melbourne to Geelong was completed, from 1859 they started construction of the line to Ballarat from North Geelong as a double track line through Moorabool laid with 80lbs/y Double Headed Rail and opened 1862, the engines used on the contruction was an English import 0-6-0 named Bruce and an ex-Geelong and Melbourne Railway Goods engine Tubal-Cain renamed Cornish, the line had grades of 1in66 to Ballarat and grades of 1in52 to Geelong, the grades where quite a problem for the new Government 2-2-2 Tender engines built by George England and Beyer Peacock, from 1862 the Government ordered 2-4-0 Tender Passenger engines from Beyer Peacock for greater adhesion on the steep grades and became B Class from 1886. from 1872 the 2-2-2 Tender engines where rebuilt into 2-4-0's.
This is a re-creation of Moorabool region early to late 1894 when a 10mph speed restriction was placed on the Viaduct due to weakening concerns, at the end of 1894 it was single track with a 15mph speed limit.
