VR E T2a 1931+ (Newport Pilot)

Built as E 506 from 1893 by David Munro & Co, to E 236 in 1923, to Unclassed 236 in 1927 and was the only 2-4-2T E Class in service besides the SAR M Class around this time as all 2-4-2T E Class besides E 236 where scrapped or converted to 0-6-2T EE Class by 1925, it was then un-numbered from 1931 then off register 1951, restored by the Victorian Railways and painted 2 tone green for a Melbourne Ehibition and preserved by ARHS Vic as E 236 from 1954 ish. This locomotive is currently preserved at North Williamstown Railway Museum.

This locomotive was the Newport Workshops Pilot.
