VR S Flat T1b - 1976+

The first two S numbers 1 & 2 were built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops in 1925. The rest of the class were converted from E wagons for wartime traffic between 1940 and 1942. From 1947 to 1949 many S's were converted back to E wagons. Photos have shown this wagon at Electric Crane Area (Spencer St, December 1976), This wagon was taken Off Register 10th April 1979 and placed into Storage, on 24th March 1981 it was marked for scapping and was privately sold 27th March 1981.

This model represent S 2 between 1976 to 1979 in a dirty Wagon Red.
