VR S (HR74) - 1985+
The first two S Wagons numbers 1 & 2 were built by the American Car & Foundry company in the U.S.A. and assembled at Newport workshops in 1925. The other 99 were converted from E wagons for wartime traffic between 1941 and 1942 and kept there original E numbers, E 1 was renumbered to S 203 as there was already an S 1. With a change in needs by the railways a large number were rebuilt back into E wagons between 1947-1949. In early 1981 this wagon was converted to Railway Service Stock HR 74 to transport wheels between workshops, in 1985 V/Line recoded this wagon to VZWA 16, computerization number is unknown.
This model represents VZWA number 16 from 1985 onwards in a faded Wagon Red, Steps created by Zec.
