VR Platform - Flag Station
North Shore opened as a 'Flag Station' for passengers in 1895. For the next few years the station saw very little use, not appearing on traffic returns. In 1909 the station was renamed to 'Corio', with the name changing back to North Shore in 1913. It was located 1/4 mile south end of Mile Post 44 at a height of 15.240 Meters of Hobsons Bay Low Water Mark.
The top of the platform is designed to go ground height while the rail goes below ground height, best used on 5m Grids, the platform is 12m wide to allow use on 10m grids, The station has been configured to load/unload post office mail and unload newspapers for the town of North Shore.
