VR ELF 30 50Ton C.S. Bogie - Red - Clean - Disc - 2

A Victorian Railways Cast Steel 50 Ton Ride Control bogie with Roller Bearings and disc wheels, these where designed for use on Broad Gauge and Standard Gauge bogie exchange rollingstock. This is the Back Bogie on Broad Gauge and is painted Red with a W.C of 5ft 11in and 3ft 0 1/4in dia wheels, b.r.base0, is located Z-Axis 0.

The ELF 30 50Ton bogies where more of an improved version of the BB 30 40Ton, it was built from 1961 and where fit to ELX, ESX, VHX, JX and TVX. From 1966 it was replaced by the newer design WGNS 30, 30A and 30B, the VR was always short on new roller bearing bogies so the BB 30 and ELF 30 still saw main line use into the 1990's.

Notes: The bogie is just over 11k poly, however I'm always trying to improve LOD transitions and have 4 levels of LOD in this one.
