VR ELF 30 50Ton C.S. Bogie SG - Black - Clean - Disc - 2

A Victorian Railways Cast Steel 50 Ton Ride Control bogie with Roller Bearings and disc wheels, these where designed for use on Broad Gauge and Standard Gauge bogie exchange rollingstock. This is the Back Bogie on Standard Guage and is painted Black with a W.C of 5ft 11in and 3ft 0 1/4in dia wheels, b.r.base0, is located Z-Axis 0.

The ELF 30 50Ton bogies where more of an improved version of the BB 30 40Ton it was designed for BG and SG wheels, it was built from 1961 and where fitted to ELF 1 to 20 from November 1962 to 1963 for Standard Guage construction trains, bogies where later fit to VLF, BF, BMF from early 1963 for Standard Guage however due to the bogies having a w.c of 5ft 11in they where not permitted into NSW.
