This operating session is designed to familiarize you with the Effingham Railroad route. You are the engineer in charge of a switch engine leased by the EFRR. Here are your tasks for the morning:

1. Proceed to CN-EFRR Interchange South and pick up the consist of cars set out there by the Canadian National RR.

2. Set out the gondolas loaded with pipe at SJC Crossload.

3. Set out the tank cars at NJC West.

4. Set out the gondolas loaded with steel coils at TQW Steel.

5. Unload the covered hoppers at Hodson Mill - Grain. Start with the car nearest the locomotive and after it has been unloaded by the interactive industry, pull the other cars over the unloading grate one at a time.

6. Leaving the hoppers at Hodgson Mill, proceed to CSXT-EFRR Interchange S and pick up the consist of cars set out there by the CSXT Railroad.

7. Set out the boxcar on the end of the consist at TQW Crossdock.

8. Set out the flatcar loaded with skid-steer loaders at South Pike Transload.

9. Set out the hoppers loaded with sugar at Harlan Bakery West, then set out the ones loaded with flour at Harlan Bakery East.

10. Set out the flatcars loaded with lumber at TQW Lumber.

11. Return the locomotive to your starting point, on the north side of Total Quality Warehouse.

If you operate efficiently and at realistic speeds (i.e., 20 mph or less on the main line, 10 mph or less on spurs), this session should take a little over one hour to complete. Have fun!
