CCTR Sample Session 2

This session is intended to familiarize you with the 'north bank' section of the Corpus Christi Terminal Railroad, as well as its south end, where it interchanges with the Kansas City Southern. Your job today is to switch some of the industries on the north bank and then take a transfer job down to the KCS interchange track, pick up some interchange cars there, and return to the CCTR yard. Your specific instructions are as follows:

1. Enter the CCTR yard and proceed to trackmark CCTR Yard E4.

2. Couple to Consist 43 (2 boxcars, a flatcar, and a covered hopper), then exit the CCTR yard to the east, crossing over to the main (northernmost) track.

3. Use the Sigmor Crossover to enter Sigmor Siding, then uncouple from your train and use the Dock 10 Crossover to re-enter the main track and run around your train.

4. Using the Sigmor Crossover again, re-enter Sigmor Siding and couple to the west end of your train, then uncouple the two boxcars.

5. Coupled to the flatcar and covered hopper, re-enter the main track via the Sigmor Crossover, then push the consist via the Texaco Street Junction and Causeway Blvd. to Basic Industries.

6. Set out the flatcar loaded with steel beams at Basic Industries, then proceed to the TOR Spur junction.

7. Uncouple from the covered hopper, then enter the TOR Spur and pick up the covered hopper at TOR Granular Loading.

8. Exit the TOR Spur, couple to the covered hopper you left on the main track, then set that hopper out at TOR Granular Loading.

9. Exit the TOR Spur, proceed to the siding gate just before the Navigation Blvd level crossing, then stop and uncouple from the covered hopper.

11. Return to Sigmor Siding, couple to the westernmost of the two boxcars, then push the boxcars to Cargo Dock 9 and set them out at trackmark Dock 9 SE1.

13. Pick up the boxcars at trackmark Dock 9 Warehouse W1, then pick up the covered hopper you uncoupled from in step 10.

14. Return to the CCTR yard, and set out your consist at trackmark CCTR Yard W1.

15. Proceed to CCTR Yard C3 and couple to the consist of tank cars.

16. Exit the CCTR yard to the south, cross the Tule Lake Lift Bridge, and proceed to South End Junction.

17. Set out the tank cars at trackmark KCS Interchange West, then pick up the consist at trackmark KCS Interchange East.

18. Return to the CCTR yard, set out your consist at trackmark CCTR Yard E3, and return your locomotive to trackmark CCTR Scale Track NW.

If you operate efficiently and at realistic speeds, this session should take approximately two hours to complete.
