GRR Local - South
It's 9:30 on a weekday morning and you're engineer of a Georgetown Railroad local train. Your two GP-38s are ready and waiting at the fuel and sand station. To complete this operating session, perform the following steps:
1) Wait for gondola train to leave GRR yard.
2) Proceed to TECO-Westinghouse and pick up loaded high-capacity flatcars on track Westinghouse 3.
3) Return to GRR yard and add hi-cap flats to the front of Consist 8 (ahead of loaded center-spline flats). This will require a runaround move.
4) Proceed to Stock Building Supply. Pick up empty center-spine flatcars and set out the two loaded ones in your train.
5) Proceed to Chisolm Trail spur. Pick up loaded 60' boxcar, then set out tank car loaded with oxygen gas at Round Rock Welding Supply and the empty 60' boxcar from your train at Custom Creative Cabinets.
6) Proceed to the GRR's interchange track with the Union Pacific, labelled Round Rock Siding. Decouple from train and leave it on the siding. NOTE: Amtrak's Texas Eagle passes through at about 10 AM, so be sure to leave the main line clear at that time. After the Texas Eagle has passed through, run around the train on the UP main line, then back onto the interchange track and return to GRR rails.
7) Return to the GRR yard, stopping at the storage yard north of Round Rock to pick up eight (8) covered hoppers for a later run to the Georgetown Co-Op elevator. Other GRR and TCS trains are operating in the GRR yard and in the Texas Crushed Stone quarry, so be aware of their locations and movements and avoid collisions.
8) Have yourself a Dr. Pepper, or a Shiner Bock if you're old enough. You've earned it, amigo.
