Built at Eastleigh Carriage Works between 1960 and 1963 for the South Eastern and later South Western Divisions of British Railways. Operating in London and SE England, they continued in service into the early 1990s when only a few remained. Traction, two EE507 motors, delivering 500HP, from 750v DC 3rd rail.
