The Port Kembla steelworks employs mainly local people, most of whom travel to/from the outer suburbs via road or rail.
Run this early morning 48 Class local commuter train all stops to Thirroul Platform 3. Wait for line clearance and run all stops to Wollongong and then onto Port Kembla. Offload remaining passengers, uncouple & marshall the loco towards the buffer end-stop where the session ends.

There are no time or speed checks.

Try changing from cab to chase view while running this session to see other traffic around you.

Note - before electrification of the line to Port Kembla, it was not unusual to see an electric suburban set led by a NSWGR 48 Class diesel locomotive.
