Trestle new without handrails. In 1884-85 the Canadian Pacific Railway was going bankrupt do to the high cost of constructing their transcontinental main line. In order to complete the line as soon and as inexpensively as possible they resorted to constructing wooden trestles in the Rocky and Selkirk Mountains from the readily available timber. Due to the high cost of maintaining these structures and the threat of their destruction by forest fires they were soon replaced. But while they lasted some were the largest and most spectacular structures in the world.

This trestle is a generic model without handrails. It is intended to be used with “Trestle Abutment new without handrails MBC058” kuid:431633:110014. LOD0/LOD1/LOD2 = 1294/822/604 polys. Endcap high/low = 1094/412 polys.
