A&S C425 #2001

The ALCO Century 425 was a four-axle, 2500 horsepower (1.875 MW) diesel locomotive of the road switcher type. 91 were built between October 1964 and December 1966. This one was built for the PRR. The PRR had 3 configurations for these units, this one is representative of the 2422 - 2436 class, large fuel tanks, but only 1 class light. Later the PRR and NYC merged to form the Penn Central. This unit wears the complete PC dress.
