D&RGW K-36 Mikado #483

The K-36 class was built for the D&RGW by the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Philidelphia, PA in 1925. There were 10 locomotives of this class built. They were numbered #480 to 489. The K-36's were the last new narrow gauge engines purchased by the D&RGW. The #483 was sold to the Cumbres & Toltec in 1970. She pulled the very first revenue train on the Cumbres & Toltec. #483 is currently not operational and needs major overhauling.
