C&O H8 2-6-6-6 Allegheny Whistle
A product of Lima, the Chespeake & Ohio's class of 2-6-6-6 locomotives were some of the heaviest steam locomotive ever built. The H8's cousins were the 'Blue Ridge' class locomotives operated by the Virginian Railway. The H8 Alleghenies used 1-chime hooter whistles built by Nathan, operated by an air valve. This was recorded circa. 1950's.
