B&M 2-8-2

Baltimore & Ohio ordered 140 Q-1 class and 10 Q-1a class 2-8-2's in 1911 following the successful test of two E-27b 2-8-0's converted to 2-8-2's by Baldwin. The Q-1's were given superheaters and classed Q-1a, with 95 of them receiving stokers, too. By 1919, 66 engines had been converted but only three survived by 1932. The application of a special firebox (no other details given) and outside steam pipes in 1932 resulted in 116 engines being converted to class Q-1aa (I know, B&O got a little carried away here). All were retired by 1955. A heavy 2-8-2 with 57 inch drivers, based on Atlanta, Birmingham, & Coast 204. Locomotives of this type were used by shortlines and class ones. It can be relettered by following instructions in the readme and the website you downloaded it from.
