With the scene and makeup of the route in 1946 just months after the conclusion of World War 2 and also going into the late 1940s just before diesels were introduced in June 1950 on passenger operations. You'll see plenty of Northern 4-8-4s in passenger service and freight service. They'll also be Bruceville 2-8-4s for passenger and freight duties as they were called the 4-8-4s 'wingmen' and great complimentary engines to the Northern 4-8-4. Other steam power on the line will include Pacific 4-6-2s, 2-8-2s, 4-8-2s, 2-10-4s, mallet articulated locos and many more. The activities will close out with diesel power subbing in for steam on passenger and freight runs in late December 1949. You'll get plenty of REAL action and enjoy the fun for a long time to come!
