SJ G5 1465 sway

5 pcs of type Gb locos were built in 1920 (SJ No 1449-1453) and were constructed
much like the previously delivered Ga locomotives from Germany.
The Gb locomotives were however fitted with a Gb boiler and a newly designed triaxial tender of cradle type.
In 1923 another 10 pcs Gb locomotives (SJ No 1464-1473) were added.
Of these 15 locos 13 were provided with a anterior runner wheels with exception of numbers 1450 and 1465.
In 1942 the 2 latter locomotives were renamed to G5.
These 2 locomotives underwent their last active time on the line Boliden-Skelleftehamn in heavy ore trains until middle of 1960s.
Maximum permissible velocity were set to 55 km/h and the pulling force to 16 Mp.
G5 1465 was abolished in 1973 and was scrapped later in Hybo 1975.
There is one type Gb (G5) locomotive preserved that can be studied in Grängesberg Railway museum.

5 Gb lok byggdes 1920 (SJ nr 1449-1453) och togs fram från de tidigare levererade Ga loken från Tyskland.
Gb loken försågs emellertid med Gb panna, och en nykonstruerad treaxlig tender av vaggtyp.
År 1923 tillkom ytterligare 10 Gb lok (SJ nr 1464-1473).
Av dessa 15 lok så kom 13 att förses med ett främre löphjul med undantag av nummer 1450 och 1465.
År 1942 omlittererades sist 2 nämnda lok till G5.
Dessa 2 lok gick sin sista tid på linjen Boliden-Skelleftehamn i tunga malmtåg till omkr. mitten av 1960-talet.
Största tillåtna hastighet sattes till 55 km/t och dragkraften till 16 Mp.
Modellerade G5 1465 slopades 1973 och skrotades senare i Hybo 1975.
Idag finns ett Gb (G5) lok bevarat i Grängesberg. Detta lok byggdes 1942 av TGOJ.

Some features in the Driver Mode assume you have started and stopped the engine at least once before
you can activate them, such as:
(Ställa av loket) = Disconnecting the locomotive in Driver mode. No driver, no smoke, no sound etc.
Activate injector outlet
Activating cylinder outlet Lots of smoke from cylinders when starting up the loco.
Sotare = increase air in the smoke box when loco is stopped.

Cabin description in CAB mode:

Place your mouse over one of the below listed items.
