44T Southern Indiana Rwy 101

The 44-tonner in the orange scheme of the Southern Indiana Railway. SIND is a 5-mile long road that serves a cement plant in southern Indiana, the only operating remnant of the Indiana Railroad (the interurban). SIND owns two 65-tonners, close to the 44-tonner in appearance. These have since been replaced by two Also switchers.

This is a GE 44-tonner Switcher. Built in 1944 for use in industry and shortline switching applications. The 44-tonner was designed to comply with a 1937 industry agreement that permitted one-man operation of diesels weighing less than 90,000 pounds.

Modeled for use in TrainZ by Mark Hoffman; reskin by Adam Gase.
