GP50 Southern 7039F

Roger Crouch's GP40 standing in for a GP50. Southern Railway signed up for 90 of these beasts (7003-7092, right after the 3 GP40X's), hoping that the improved traction control technology would make six-axle diesels obsolete. Funny thing, hindsight is. Cincinnati New Orleans & Texas Pacific was assigned 7039-7069, and 7076-7079, for a total of 35 units.
