RS2 NYS&W 250 delivery

New York Susquehanna & Western owned 10 RS1's before the RS2 was introduced. Rather than introduce another parts supply, they elected to round out the roster with 6 more RS1's. This is a 'what if' NYS&W RS2 based on Mark Hoffman's RS3 model.

This is the Alco RS3 Road Switcher. The RS3 is powered by the 12 cylinder 244 Prime Mover giving 1600 Horse Power. The RS3 was produced by Alco during the years 1950 to 1956. This is the second most popular Alco engine produced with 1,418 units made during the production run.
