GP40-2 Conrail 3403

Conrail inherited 275 GP40's from PC, including 105 bought by NYC before the PC merger and 16 former EMD units. All but one, 3264, were off the roster by 1995. Conrail inherited 5 GP40-2's from Reading (3275-3279), and then bought 124 brand-new units between 1977 and 1980, numbered 3280-3403.
