44T NYS&W 200

This is a GE 44-tonner Switcher. Built in 1944 for use in industry and shortline switching applications. The 44-tonner was designed to comply with a 1937 industry agreement that permitted one-man operation of diesels weighing less than 90,000 pounds. Susquehanna purchased a not-exactly-similar 45-tonner to take over switched the Sea-Train operation at Edgewater, NJ, replacing two tiny Whitcomb switchers referred to as 'Dinkies'. Modeled for use in TrainZ by Mark Hoffman; reskin by Adam Gase.
