FA-2 Western Maryland 303 Fireball

With EMD backlogged on orders for F7's, Western Maryland turned to Alco in 1951 to quickly acquire four more road units, FA-2's #301-304. They arrived in 'Fireball' paint. They lasted in Williamsport Hill helper service until sold to GE in 1972. GE, in turn, sold them to Long Island Railroad, who used them in control-cab service. One still survives today.
