RS3 Utah Rwy 309

The real Utah Railway ordered RSD4's and a single RSD5, then bought an
RSD4 second-hand from the Central RR of New Jersey. They never owned
RS3's, but someday, if someone makes Alco tri-mount 3-axles trucks,
then this can be the beginning of an RSD4 or RSD5.

This is the Alco RS3 Road Switcher. The RS3 is powered by the 12 cylinder 244 Prime Mover giving 1600 Horse Power. The RS3 was produced by Alco during the years 1950 to 1956. This is the second most popular Alco engine produced with 1,418 units made during the production run.
