NYO&W I-class 2-6-0 42
Reskinned as New York Ontario & Western I-class 2-6-0 #42. The I's were purchased in two groups, #30-39 in 1903-04 and #40-4 in 1907. This style of lettering follows a photo as published in the book 'The Final Years' by Carstens Publishing. Engine #42 was sold to the Unadilla Valley in 1945 and scrapped in 1956, outlasting all other O&W steam power by 8 years! An exceedingly modern 2-6-0 from Baldwin. It is freelanced, but there were some similar engines built with slide valves, and a piston valve version probably existed.

Cylinders: 20x26 inch
