GP38AC GTW 5811

Grand Trunk Western GP38AC without dynamic brakes. They were numbered 5800-5811. The AC means that the DC generator is now an AC Alternator, but the AC must be converted back for the Dc traction motors. EMD offered this starting in 1970, and made is stadard in the -2 line.
