CSS&SB 109

The South Shore Line remains American's last true Interurban. These cars are representative of typical coach & combines built for the CSS&SB Railroad by Pullman and Standard Steel during the 1920s. Modernized in the 1940s, many of the cars were lengthened from 60' to 78'! There were eventually replaced in 1982.
