GKW Region Silesia PRL 1980

Polish People's Republic (PRL) the official name of the Polish state in the years 1952�1989. During this period, Poland remained a country under the political domination of the USSR. The government was exercised by the Polish United Workers' Party. Regress, indebtedness of the country, increases in the prices of basic products led to the economic collapse of the country, which resulted in more and more protests and the emergence of an organization to fight the regime. The 1980s was the period of the disintegration of communism in Poland, unfortunately also many industries, in particular heavy industries such as metallurgy and mining, which kept the railway alive. Unfortunately, GKW did not defend themselves against the new, free, better world.
