NH Comet Motor Class 9200
High-speed double-ended intercity trainset built by Goodyear-Zeppelin in partnership with the New Haven and the US government in 1935. Road numbers 9200 and 9202 with mid-train coach 9201 ran 5 weekday round trips between Boston and Providence on a schedule of '44 miles in 44 minutes' including intervening stops (excursions on weekends). Each power car contained a 400hp diesel engine and 48 passenger seats; maximum speed over 100mph, 90mph in revenue service.
