This tender was for PRR E6 Atlantic engines. These tenders had a capacity of only 7150 gallons of water, however it was equiped with a compressed air operated water scoop. The tender had a 13 ton coal bunker. PRR found that a new type of truck had to be designed for this highspeed passenger engine tender, the DOLPHIN TRUCK.
