GSR B3
Built by the GSWR at their works at Inchicore in 1905, they were first 4-6-0s in Ireland as well as being largest engine in Ireland. Their long boiler gave them the nickname, Long Toms. The GSWR were very proud of this achievement as it was a big increase in size compared to their previous engines. The GSWR were so proud that No.366 was displayed at the Dublin Exhibition in 1907. However, they were too big for most turntables and were known for rough ridership, in fact drivers with false teeth would remove them whenever on the footplate in fear of loosing them. This made them unpopular with crew who favoured the 355 Class and so the 362 Class had an early withdrawal in 1928. Includes AJS Script.
