RPSI CIE Black J15 No.184
The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland saved No.184 from scrap in 1963 and was used all over the Irish Network for RPSI Railours keeping its CIE livery and also received a replica GS&WR Number Plate. In the 1970s No.184 was repaited in a fictional livery based on the South Eastern Railway(of Britain) Livery for the film 'The First Great Train Robbery' which was shot on numerous places on the Network. No.184 then received a CIE Black Livery in the 1980s which it still has but sadly No.184 is awaiting overhaul at the back of Whitehead Shed, the HQ of the RPSI. Built by the Great Southern and Western Railway at their Works in Inchicore, Dublin in 1880 as a Standard Goods Engine but was then used for mixed traffic services. This model is based on the 101 Class after they were rebuilt in the 1920's.
