CIE MK3 EGV

The MK3 coaches and EGVs were originally built under license from BREL during 1984-1989 at Derby and Inchicore and remained in service till 2009. They were first introduced in this CIE livery known as the Supertrain Livery as part of CIE's marketing campaign. They were introduced as part of the MK3 Scheme to replace wooden coaches with steel bodied coaches. In 1988, the CIE Supertrain Livery was replaced with the Iarnrod Eireann tipex lined Livery.
