SE Ireland P1 1963
Its 1963 in the South East of Ireland and alot is happening, Coras Iompair Eireann became nationalised and is now in the hands of the Government who brought Dieselisation to the country in the '50s with only a handfull of steam engines surviving due to preservation companies. Nationalisation also dramatically reduced goods traffic but since its the '60s road transport has dramatically increased with demand for a new Wexford Bridge and improved roads, of course this has hit passenger numbers hard and there is plans to reduce the railway network to railways that are keeping profit in order to save money although the Macmine Branch hasn't been looked after in a while as passengers are advised not to stick their heads out the window in fear of having their face scraped off by passing brambles.
Wexford has also found a new use for the harbour, Muscle Farming so Muscle Trawlers line the Wooden Works of the Quay. In other news John F Kennedy arrived in Ireland to visit his Grandparents House in New Ross, In a speech he mentions how far Ireland have come from the time his grandparents emirgrated to America to find work as life in Ireland was too harsh, now Ireland being the fastest developing country has now got cars, agricultural machines, factories, a developed transport system and the power to harness electricity from its biggest river.
