Leigh Historic Rail Return Journey Passenger
Take a ride in one of two J Class trains, one coal powered, the other oil powered as they journey between Brixon and Leigh.
Now a preserved railway, the section of track between Brixon and Leigh was once part of the mainline from Milford to Chilton. However, it proved to be the most severe bottleneck on the line. Therefore, a double track bypass was constructed leaving the existing line just a little north of Brixon and rejoining at Leigh. The railway is still used as a steam museum and by bushwalkers exploring the beautiful Milford Peninsula National Park which the railway passes through.
