Krypton Gas

Krypton is a colorless, odorless, tasteless inert noble gas with the appearance of a purple-white color in a discharge tube. Krypton is chemically inert and unreactive because of a full shell of electrons. Only few compounds of Krypton exist such as krypton difluoride. Krypton exist's in nature as a gas and is found in the earth's atmosphere at 0.0001% or about 1 ppm. Krypton has eight isotopes: Krypton 78 [Stable]{0.355%}, Krypton 80 [Stable]{2.286%}, Krypton 81 [Half Life: 2.29X10^5 Years]{Trace}, Krypton 82 [Stable]{11.593%}, Krypton 83 [Stable]{11.5%}, Krypton 84 [Stable]{56.987%}, Krypton 85 [Half Life: 10.776 Years]{Trace}, and Krypton 86 [Stable]{17.279%}. Krypton is used in filling energy-saving fluorescent lights, high powered laser lights, MRI's, computed tomography, quasi-homogeneous electromagnetic calorimeters, and etc.
