Calypso Island
A little southwest of the famed Maka Wuhu Resort Island lies the somewhat-industrialized island paradise of Calypso Island. It is heavily populated, posessing 7 major cities: Sunnyside, Lakeside, Steelville, Bluffs, Foreston, St.Francis, and of course, Calypso Bay. It is popular for tourists, and exports coal all over the world. Its industries are served by 3 rail systems. The largest of which is Calypso Island Railways, a motley but functional collection of ex-museum pieces and replicas mostly acquired from (or designed after) rolling stock of the defunct British Railways. It serves the 7 major cities, a coal mine, and a steel mill, along with various general goods facilities. Following that is the Stonelion & Dockside Village Railway, a separate standard-gauge line that serves 2 ot the 7 major cities in addition to several small coastal villages, another coal mine, and the island airport. The CIR and the S&DVR have an interchange at St. Francis. Lastly is the Southern Cove Narrow Gauge System, also a coastal line. Lately, the island's road systems have improved and expanded, but the roads aren't as cheap or as interesting for tourists, so the railroad is still quite viable.
