PRR B60B Express

PRR B60B Express

Created by the American Locomotive & Car Company
Pennsylvania Railroad B60b Express car. Virtually identical to the B60b baggage car, these had vents to provide fresh air for the Railway Express agents inside. Often the PRR would run whole trains of baggage and mail cars with a coach used as a crew dormitory, as baggage and mail were the main revenue generating operations on passenger trains. These cars were deployed in the early part of the 20th century, and many saw use into the late 60's and early 70's.
