Prototype EM 488.0001/EM 488.0002 was presented in 1971.Lot manufacture continued
between 1974-1978.In sum was produced 43 EMUs (CSD).EMUs EM 488.0 replace
EMUs EM 475.1 in regional transport first in Bohumin and with that
in Kosice and Usti nad Labem.
Electric Multiple Unit EM 488.0 is consist of EM488.0+N488.03+N488.03+N488.03+EM488.0 .
