Central Pacific 84 'Gazelle

The first (1868) Schenectady 4-4-0 built for the Central Pacific. Was so successful that all orders placed for McK&A locomotives were diverted to Schenectady when the former works closed. Worked on the V&T during the Comstock boom. Sister locomotives carried the director's train to Promontory Summit, and the Lightning Express across the CP system.
