Slim Mountain

The Slim Mountain and Southern is the oldest and most well developed of my Toytopia railroads. It actually started as a logging line based on the Mower Lumber's Greenbrier Cheat & Elk, now the Cass Scenic Railroad in West Virginia. The imagined location of the line moved around, from West Virginia to some nebulous location in the Rockies, then western North Carolina. Finally, when I came up with Toytopia in the 1990s, I moved the line there, where it has stayed ever since.

I used to have an almost finished route depicting the SM&S and its connections, the Donnocatta & Yeldir Dam, the Slim Mountain Mining Company, the Red Valley & Slimview, the Robertsdale Lumber Company, and the mainline connection for all of these, the Broad River & Northern. A computer crash lost that route, which was a resource hog anyway. I've dispensed with extensively representing the other lines this time, focusing only on the SM&S.

Updates will be made as I finish the scenery. As of this upload, the main line is done and all industries are roughed in. Scenery is progressing south from Slim Mlountain.
