Credit to bdaneal for allowing reskins of his content, which made this possible.

Classic series: Error-free in TRS19, converted to Trainzmesh with PBR materials, but not significantly upgraded from 2008 appearance. This model is a previously unreleased variant circa 2008.

A small Baldwin standard gauge 2-8-2, based on Georgia, Ashburn, Sylvester & Camilla 100. Locomotives of this type were used by shortlines and logging railroads all over the USA.

Built: Baldwin, ~1915-1930
TE: 30,600 lbs
Weight: 161,000 lbs
Cylinders: 20x24 inch
Drivers: 48 inch diameter
Boiler Pressure: 180 PSI

MVR [fan] lore: Whilst hesitant to purchase these, the MVR found these engines to fit the right niche of lighter workings. they were all built from 1915 to 1916 All of them were numbered from 100-120 for their entire working life, alongside that each engine was named too. Though it should be noted that most of the names had little meaning, Rather most of the names were made up on the spot by the paint shop, though a few did have names based upon the short story 'Rip Van Winkle' by Washington Irving. This was due to a certain shop foreman having read it recent to the engines gaining names. almost all of them made it into 1960, with the exception of 119 [which will be explained later]. however in 1961 when most of them had inspections it was found that most of them needed major repairs, with dieselization rampant all were scrapped. this left only 101, 102, 107, 114, 118 and 120 in service. With every year the roster of the Logging Mikes would get smaller and by 1965 it was only 102, 107, 118, and 120. 107 would be scrapped that same year. In January of 1966 a executive order from the Higher ups of the MVR called order 66, no relation to star wars, called for the withdrawal and scrapping of 10 classes of steam engines that had 5 or less engines to its list. the three logging mikes should have met their doom here; however, while its not known why they were set aside at the shops in New Penzance, North Carolina. based off of a few accounts by some of the shop workmen, its believed that a unknown buyer was interested in buying them for service elsewhere. this deal must have fell through as the engines never left the sidings for that reason. yet they stayed there for years, with one of the Ingalls 4-s locomotives joining them in 1977 after it was withdrawn as well. in 1982 after 16 whole years of sitting in the weeds [5 years in the case of the 4-s], someone at the head of the MVR realized that it be crucial to preserve these engines. The cherry on top too was that due to a simple sheet metal roof over them they weren't in deplorable condition [though sitting for 16 years in a siding does not mean the engines were ready to run.]. They would all be donated whith the engines going to these places or groups as follows' 102 would be sent to the Milton Valley Preservation Society, which had been pushing heavily to purchase one of the logging mikes, 118 would be sent to the Maelis Dagga Shortline in Virgina [I would explain the name but its way to long for what is already too long of a explanation], and 120 [and the 4-s] would be sent to the Greenbay & Oconto Falls RR in Wisconsin. Despite this those three are not the most famous, or as i should say; infamous. in 1959 119 would be pulling a mixed train, consisting of; a caboose, flatcar, boxcar, and coach, when it disappeared under strange circumstances. the Driver had hopped off, alongside two passengers who also disembarked here, at Nothiseah. the driver had only needed to take a restroom break. when he returned the engine and train was gone. it and the 18 people [passengers and crew] were never found. no reasonable explanation has been able to explain the events.
Credit to miketheusra for the Maelis Dagga Shortline. even if it is a small lore thing.
