RS3 P&N 101 v1
Alco-GE RS-3 Road Switcher
Modeled for use in TrainZ by Mark Hoffman (gumbytrain).
The Piedmont & Northern Railway began converting from electric to diesel motive power in 1950, placing a 10-unit order with the American Locomotive Company. The first two units (Nos. 100 and 101) were delivered to the company's Greenville, South Carolina shops that fall -- lettered and numbered, but lacking the characteristic P&N logo, yellow hood striping, and black-and-white striped pilots which they later acquired.
