Salville Light Railway 1975
By 1975, the Salville Light Railway Preservation Society had extened their operations to the yard at Fay Quarry. Determining that coaches that were better suited for the longer runs were needed, the society dismantled a number of their Wembly Exhibition coahes to provide funds for two more replica NWNGR cars, both corridor vehicles. Further aquisitions to supplement both of their original quarry hunslets, which handled the shorter runs from Salville to Downly Field using some of the remaining Wembly coaches. Part of the tracks up to the original incline were repaired to enable access to a future museum on the site of the incline's winding house.
