LVRR Conners Crossing Trestle Bridge

This is a faithful replica (within the confines of the Trainz limitations for a very large asset) of the steel railway bridge, as built by the Lehigh Valley Railroad, to span the Schuylkill River valley near the town of Schuylkill Haven, on the Lehigh Valley Railroad's former Pottsville Branch, in 1890. The bridge was constructed basically of the standard Steel Trestle design and is built with 25 foot [7.625 meters] Tower spans and intermediate 50 foot [15.25 meters] Open Deck Girder spans on 'standard' Granite Footings. There are 11 such spans across the valley in addition to three sections of 100 Feet [30.5 meters] long, underhung Truss Girder Decks, where the line crosses over the Reading Railroad, the Pennsylvania Railroad (twice), at the point it crosses the river and the local main road between Schuylkill Haven and Pottsville. Constructed on a level gradient, the bridge spans the full length of the valley, a distance of some 1,400 feet [427 meters], standing a maximum of 50 Feet [15.25 meters] above the valley floor. As it is of open deck construction, an appropriate open deck track has been ''assigned'' to accompany the bridge, in the form of the jmann Track II - Bridge Track asset, using attachment points within the mesh (with the ''useadjoiningtracktype'' tag set to 'off') and which has been included in this asset's config.txt file. This asset was ''constructed'' specifically for use in the LVRR Pottsville Branch route created by 'jadebullet' and is intended for Trainz builds 3.5 and above.
