Old West Buckboard Wagon- This is a very typical wagon design in which the seat is placed on two leaf springs. These springs help to absorb the ruts and bumps in the road since the wagon itself has no form of suspension, and they provided the riders with a "bucking" sensation as they bounced up and down when hitting bumps hence the name buckboard wagon.
