AV_LiAZ 677M

LiAZ-677 began to be designed in 1960. This model was supposed to replace the buses ZIL-158V, which were produced by the Likino Automobile Plant before. The first prototype of the new bus was ready on November 6, 1962. Mass released from 1967 to 1994; piece assembly at third-party car assembly plants from car kits continued until 2002. In total, about 194,000 buses of all modifications were produced. The bus had an innovative transmission for its time with hydromechanical clutch and automatic gearbox, which is distinguished by the phenomenal simplicity of the design.
