NER Type 3 3B signal box V2 enhanced scenery

During the early 1900s the N.E.R. Southern Division utilised the S3 Type as their standard signal box on their line in Yorkshire between Church Fenton and Burton Salmon. This one, based on
Bog Hall, Whitby was built during 1910 in the style of an S3 with toplights, several years after the Southern Division had evolved their standard box to the S4 type, which was notable for dispensing with the toplights.
The reason for this reversion at this site is unknown.
As well as being the token exchange point for the single line chord to Whitby West Cliff the box controlled an infrequently used level crossing on the lane running down to the ford over the River Esk.
At some point before the mid- 1950s Bog Hall signal box had its toplights painted over.

Frank Routledge did the research and was responsible for many of the photo textures, Chris (Nawlins) gave lots of input as well.
